These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the ChatYT platform (“Service”) operated by ChatYT (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ChatYT is a web-based platform that uses artificial intelligence to analyze YouTube video transcripts, enabling users to:

• Chat with video content using natural language
• Generate summaries and structured notes
• Export conversations as PDF documents
• Search and navigate video transcripts

3. Account Registration

To use certain features, you must create an account with a valid email address or sign in through Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscriptions and Credits

Free Tier

New accounts receive a limited number of free credits. Free credits are non-transferable and may expire.

Paid Plans

Paid subscription plans provide monthly usage limits for chat messages, PDF exports, and video analyses. Plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.

Credit Packages

One-time credit packages are available for purchase. Purchased credits do not expire while your account remains active.

Refunds

Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service beyond normal usage
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without our prior written consent
• Upload or transmit any content that is harmful, abusive, or violates third-party rights

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by ChatYT and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose.

You retain ownership of the content you create through the Service (e.g., chat messages, exported PDFs). We do not claim ownership over your content.

7. YouTube Content

ChatYT accesses publicly available YouTube video data (metadata and transcripts). We are not affiliated with YouTube or Google. All YouTube content remains the property of its respective owners.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of video content through ChatYT complies with YouTube's Terms of Service and applicable copyright laws.

8. AI-Generated Content

Responses generated by the AI are based on video transcripts and are provided for informational purposes only. AI outputs may contain inaccuracies or errors. You should not rely on AI-generated content as professional, legal, medical, or financial advice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChatYT and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

11. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in activity that could harm the Service or other users. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a new “last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
